Anxiety can be exhausting.
Maybe your mind never seems to turn off. You replay conversations, overthink decisions, worry about things that haven't happened, or feel like you're constantly carrying the weight of everyone else's needs.
For some women, anxiety shows up as racing thoughts and panic.
For others, it looks like perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty relaxing, constant self-criticism, or feeling like they always have to stay one step ahead.
At Rooted & Nourished Psychotherapy, I help women understand the underlying patterns driving their anxiety so they can stop living in survival mode and start feeling more present, confident, and connected to their lives.
Many women come to therapy believing they're "just stressed" or "bad at coping." In reality, anxiety can show up in countless ways—including through motherhood, food and body image struggles, perfectionism, and major life transitions.
You may be surprised to learn:
A signal that you've been carrying too much for too long. A signal that your nervous system is working overtime to keep you safe. A signal that something deeper deserves attention and care.
In therapy, we won't just focus on managing symptoms. We'll work together to understand what may be fueling your anxiety in the first place.
For some women, anxiety is connected to perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everyone else's needs. For others, it shows up through motherhood, body image concerns, disordered eating, life transitions, or unresolved experiences that have left their nervous system stuck in survival mode.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches to help you:
Quiet the constant mental chatter
Challenge unhelpful thought patterns
Develop healthier coping strategies
Build self-compassion
Learn to tolerate uncertainty
Create boundaries that protect your energy
Feel more grounded and present in your daily life
I don't believe therapy should be about "fixing" you. Instead, we'll focus on helping you understand yourself more deeply, build trust in your ability to navigate life's challenges, and create a life that feels less driven by fear and more aligned with your values.
